Delete your Roam.io account

You can permanently delete your Roam.io account from the app, or request deletion by email if you no longer have access to the device.

Email a deletion request

Send the request from the email address on your Roam.io account. Include “account deletion” in the subject and confirm that you want permanent deletion.

This permanently removes

Your Roam.io account and public profile
Trips you own, including cities, days, activities, notes, and related content
Private cover images for trips you own
Invitations, memberships, AI operational records, and access to shared trips

How deletion works

Apple and Google require a clear public path for account deletion. Use the in-app flow whenever possible.

Delete in the app

The fastest method is Profile → Settings → Delete Account. You will be asked to type a confirmation phrase before irreversible deletion begins.

What gets removed

Deleting your account permanently removes your Roam.io account and public profile; trips you own, including cities, days, activities, notes, and related content; private cover images for trips you own; and invitations, memberships, AI operational records, and access to shared trips.

Collaborators permanently lose access to trips you own. Trips owned by other people remain, but your membership is removed. Historical activity in those surviving trips may remain under “Former traveler”, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

Request deletion without the app

If you cannot open the app, email the address below from the email tied to your Roam.io account and ask for account deletion. Include enough detail for us to verify ownership. We may need to confirm your identity before acting.
